We recently visited Xian with China Highlights and were assigned our excellent tour guide Lin. She was a delight to spend time with. Very knowledgeable about the city and its surroundings and its history. Always happy and smiling and had great enthusiasm for her job. She has excellent English skills.If you should ever visit Xi’an, I would highly recommend requesting her to be your guide.

Mark was an informative and welcoming guide and Mr Ho was our considerate and helpful driver. Mark made sure we got to see all the historical sights and bustling Muslim Quarter, and gave us great hints and tips for places to eat. China Highlights organised everything for us and it ran like clockwork.

Mark was a wealth of historical information and shared with us so many stories regarding Chinese culture and folklore. Throughout our time with Mark we enjoyed his sense of humour and had many laughs together. He is an exceptional guide and a warm , kind hearted man. With Mark, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves for the entire visit!!!!

My guide Mervyn was amazing, she was very helpful and friendly. She took me to very nice places to eat traditional food and she reserved a place to me to watch an amazing show about Xi’an history.

Jenny was our guide and she made sure we were happy every step of the way. She was flexible, had great knowledge of local culture and China history. She told excellent stories and put a personal touch to the tour. Highly recommend China Highlights and Jenny in particular!

But the greatest thing of all for us was our charming, attentive, informative, warm and beautiful tour guide Lin. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience

Our guide Mark was very knowlegable, with avery good knowledge of China history and all historic places! We saw all interesting and world known places in Xi'an with the help of our kind guide Mark! We hope to visit this beautiful place once again!

Our three days in Xi’an with Ying were spectacular! Ying's professionalism, deep cultural insights, and extensive knowledge of the area's rich history made our trip remarkable. We felt incredibly fortunate to have her as our guide.

This is the second time using China Highlights and once again we were given a wonderful experience. Our guide Christina was wonderfully informative and was a delight to be around. The driver was very professional and enthusiastic.

We visited Xi’An as a family and had Jenny as our guide. Jenny is a Xi’An local and knows the city very well.Apart from her extensive knowledge of China’s history, she also explained things in a way that made it easy for us to understand (which, if you know China’s long history, you will really appreciate!).Jenny was also very proactively helpful; understanding what we needed before we thought of it and offering us suggestions, workarounds, options and solutions. Apart from that, when it came to tourist sites she made sure no one pushed into our group especially when it was at popular spots for photographs.

Our tour guide in Xi‘an,Jenny , was awesome and knowledgable about the history of the places we visitied. Everything was good with Jenny.For sure, we will use the private tour provided by China Highlights whenever we need it again.

Had a really informative and knowledgeable guide (Jenny). We only had 2 short days in XiAn but we managed to squeeze in a lot of sites including the terracotta warrior museum which our guide told us in detail about.

Mervyn was a great guide in Xa’in. We got a thorough tour and some special moments, including a visit to a private home for cooking demonstration. She looked after us at every turn.

Our trip with China Highlights took us through Xi'an for a few days and during that time Mark was our guide. We are lucky we had Mark to take us through all of the history his city has to offer! Our trip through Xi'an was made all the better because of Mark's knowledge of the city. He always had a fun fact or piece of history to share, and it's clear that he has a passion for the city. If you have a change to visit Xi'an, we recommend allowing Mark and China Highlights to be your guide!

Thanks Susan for giving us good explanation about Xian history. The weather is good and we choose a the right time to visit xian .

Mervyn was an amazing tour guide! Very nice and knowledgeable. She made our trip to Xi'an a breeze, and stayed with us until the end!

A big thank you to our guide Susan. She really know the history well and best of all she prepare us well in ahead of places we visit example the “武则天” I wish I could have stay 1-2days more to have a deeper understanding on Xi’an. Will come back for Susan for her well knowledge of history.

For the entire trip, Susan was a very sincere and helpful tour guide. She shared with our group a great deal of interesting knowledge involving Xi’An’s culture and history. Her bilingual (chinese and english) background also helped greatly as well! At food places, she recommended dishes to us that did not disappoint! I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 short days in this city under the great care of Susan.

We had Susan as our tour guide and she is very knowledgeable, flexible and understanding. Speaks English well. Very patient and detailed explanation. Learnt a lot of interesting China history for the past 4 days. Really enjoyed my trip with her as our guide!

We have had the best time during our visit to Xi’an thanks to our guide Jenny, with China Highlights. While the Terracotta Warriors are one of the wonders of the world, Jenny really helped bring them to life for us. She not only gave us their history, but showed us the best spots to see the warriors and take pictures. And she gave us a fabulous tour of the City’s Muslim Quarter and other Xi’an sites. She also was there to help with our logistics. Jenny met us at the airport, helped us check into our hotel, and she was there again early the next two days. Her English is perfect and her stories keep us laughing throughout our time with her. I give her and China Highlights the highest recommendation!

A truly wonderful day in Xi’an. My guide, Susan, was superb and taught me a lot about the history of the place. We started at the Terracotta Army (of course) where I benefitted from an exhibition that only opened recently. We’ve all seen pictures of course, but actually standing next to these relics and seeing the intricate details was incredible. After a tasty lunch we headed to the Wild Goose Pagoda where again, Susan’s knowledge enabled me to fully understand the history and significance. The perfect day ended with a quiet walk on top of the ancient city wall. If you haven’t yet visited Xi’an……… do it!

During my one week in China for the very first time, I spent one and a half days in Xi'an. My guide in Xi'an was Jenny, she was fantastic. Jenny made sure that hour short time in Xi'an was well organized and impactful. Jenny's detailed retellings and descriptions created visuals that helped emphasize my understanding of the history. Jenny was also very professional and accommodating. I fell in love with the earrings Jenny was wearing and she graciously made sure that I got a pair before I left Xi'an. My time in Xi'an was all the more unforgettable because of Jenny's kindness and sincerity. I highly recommend China Highlights tours and Jenny as a guide!

While visiting Xian with China Highlights, I had the tour guide Jenny. She was a phenomenal guide for the site. She made us feel welcomed in the city. She helped us find delicious and affordable food in bustling areas that I would not have been able to do alone. She has such a good knowledge of the history, and I was able to understand and be immersed in the space truly. She was always early to pick us up and drop us off. She was extremely transparent about the time it would take to visit different places, or if certain changes needed to be made due to unforeseen circumstances. For example, we traveled during the national holiday which was super busy. This meant supper long lines and additional traffic for certain places. She explained in the beginning how it could potentially affect our trip so we could be prepared. I had one of the best trips of my life and that was because of Jenny.

Mervyn Yang was our tour guide in Xi'an from 20 Sep. She is friendly, well versed in China history. Enjoyable and fond memories.

We are a group of 8 with young and elderly. Our tour guide, Mark did an excellent job for our tour in Xi’an.He is patient and knowledgeable, we learned a lot of the China history. He took great photos of us too and constantly checking on us if we require anything.

Susan was our guide and she was brilliant. She had such a large wealth of knowledge on the history of Xi'an and the rest of China itself. She was super friendly and we had a wonderful time in Xi'an.
