We had a great time in Lijiang and around. Our guide Alice was very enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable as well. Wonderful two days organised by China Highlights.

Much appreciation goes to our guides- the energetic Lina in Kunming; the experienced Frank in Dali; the knowledgeable Peter in Lijiang; and the earnest Sonam in Shangri-la! All ensured a smooth journey, and were enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge of the history, culture and customs of the various places.

Visiting Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is a great experience but also come with a little risk of altitude sickness. Our guide Alice has taken good care of us for the whole journey. Truly a memorable trip!

Eleanor was our tour guide during our stay in Lijiang. She’s knowledgeable, experienced and clear in her approach in explaining the history of Lijiang. This adds meaning to the things we see, hence deepened our appreciation of the past events. Great work and keep it up, Eleanor.

My guide for all days was Lobsang. I stayed in Old Town, Shangri La, and with the guidance of Lobsang, was able to see many sights and learn much about local customs. This was true for the sight-seeing we accomplished outside of the cities. Lobsang answered any question that I asked and is a fountain of knowledge about the area, the people, the history, Buddhism, and so on.

Our guide, Alice, was great - she guided us through Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Tiger Leaping Gorge, and booked tickets to the Zhang Yimou show for us (and ensured we got there on time!) and to a folkdance show in town. Some of the restaurants we went to were more rustic (but still good!) and she was able to help with vegetarian food for me.

Daisy was attentive and very friendly, offering alot of snacks and tips along the way.

Our guides met all our expectations are more, Dylan in Kunming took us to see the Stone Forest and knew exactly where to go to avoid the crowds! Frank in Dali had a true passion for the outdoors, the flora, fauna, mushrooms and shared this passion with us as we discovered the mountains and temples of Dali. Eleanor in Lijiang shared her love of the Naxi as we explored the snow capped mountains, parks and ancient towns. And a special shout out for Betsy in Shangri-La who introduced us to Tibetan buddhism and culture, met us at the Leaping Tiger gorge and took us to amazing lakes, temple's and monestries. Betsy was also great at suggesting what we should do in the evenings, pointing out great restaurants and ensuring we were well looked after.

My wife and I spent 4 days in Lijiang with Alice and we had a wonderful time! Everything was arranged very professionally and we felt very cared for. Alice is very nice and had a great knowledge about every place we went to.

Big thanks to Jack for looking after me in Lijiang. The main part of my trip was in Shangri-La, where Sophia took such great care of me that I am already thinking of when to go back and do another trip. The level of attention to my wellbeing throughout the trip ensured wonderful tours and hikes.

Our tourguide Alice took us to the Jin‘Gang Haimu Lingdong Temple and ShiGu Village. Sie was very friendly and explained the region same as the temple in detail. It was a tour away from the touristic hotspots and we enjoyed it very much. Furthermore she organized a tour that we could watch a TaiChi class in Black Dragon Park the next morning. We will never forget these extraordinary experiances!

The guides were kind, friendly, knowledgeable and flexible. They were sensitive to our needs and did above and beyond. Thank you all for your kind hospitality and see you again next year for another visit to such a beautiful country China!!

This was my first time to join China Highlights for the trip to LIjiang and Shangri-la in China. Ms. Alice Lu picked us on time from the airport and dropped us to the hotel then helped us to settle down at the hotel and give us a briefing about the schedule of next several days and recommended some local restaurants to us before her departure.Alice is a polite, patient, organized and good experienced planner. She has shown herself is not only a professional tour guide, but an experienced photographer and body guard.

Excellent first trip to Lijiang. Our guide Alice was very kind and patient and also very accommodating with last minute changes and itinerary change given one of the places we were supposed to go to was shut for maintenance work. She explained everything to us and also answered our many many random questions!

Li Jiang is amazingly pretty. Very scenic and unforgettable. Our guide Alice has done wonderful job explaining the history and culture. She is also very service minded. We love our hotel that China Highlights arranged. The old town preserved well the Chinese culture and is a must place to visit.

Alice is super helpful, knowledgeable and flexible with changes. She and Mr Huang took very good care of us during our stay in Lijiang. We are grateful to have them as our guides. Hope we can come back to explore more next time.

We had the most remarkable tour with China Highlights. Not only everything was perfect, but we felt, in every instance,that Leeky, our tour organizer and all the guides (Bree, Alice, Sophia and Nixon) truly cared about us and did their best to make the trip memorable.

My husband and I arrived in Lijiang after Dali. We met Alice, our new tour guide for the next two days. Alice is a compassionate person with a heart full of love and care. She makes sure we dress warmly before taking our tours to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and the Tiger Leaping Gorge.Alice is well-spoken about the culture of local people in Lijiang. During our visit to the Naxi ethnic community, we learned how to make and sample the Naxi pancake and tea with Yak butter. We felt it was a rewarding experience to learn about the livelihood of people as we tour.Many thanks to China Highlights for arranging our traveling itinerary in Lijiang.
