China highlights helped ensure that the logistics of the trip went smoothly. My local guide Dickey did a fantastic job as well. She adjusted my itinerary on the fly, provided helpful local suggestions, and shared a ton of knowledge.

Once in a lifetime Lhasa und Tibet besichtigen! Unsere Führerin Tseyang war spitze. Sie spricht ausgezeichnetes Englisch und kennt ihr Land sehr gut. Ich hatte gesundheitliche Probleme und Tseyang war sofort da, und ins Krankenhaus zu begleiten und den Weg zu bahnen, ohne Sprachkenntnisse unm?glich!

We did a 7 day tour of Tibet with China Highlights. The guide was Phurbu. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. We are repeat customers of this travel agency because they deliver a high quality tour with enormous flexibility. From the beginning they helped us getting the necessary permits. The quality of the sites we visited was amazing and we always had ample time to enjoy. We had a major setback as the government closed the access to the Everest area so our tour had to be rerouted. We were initially disappointed but we ended up visiting lake Namso and that was incredible. The agency offered a dinner in compensation even as it wasn’t their fault Phurbu introduced us patiently to his culture and to the Tibetan gastronomy. We had lunch and breakfast in around 10 typical places and the quality was always good.

There’s so much to say about this trip and our guide and driver who made it amazing for us. The culture and the sites are incredible to witness. From Lhasa to Shigatse to Everest Basecamp to Qirong Border, our guide (Dechen) gave us the most amazing tour and was incredibly knowledgeable about all the sites along the way. She made sure we felt welcome and were comfortable the entire time (from picking us up at the airport with traditional scarves, having heavy blankets ready to keep us warm, prayer flags for us to experience local culture, and oxygen bottles for us when the altitude got to us). Such an incredible experience, made even better by our guide Dechen and our amazing driver who got us around safely and comfortably. How he could navigate hundreds of switchbacks without making us carsick is a true testament to his driving skills. We felt very safe with him at the wheel. Thank you both!

We are a family of 4 with two kids with allergy. This was our third time travelling with China Highlights. So Leon, our planning guide, knows very well what our requirements and likings are. All the planning was as smooth as they can be. Our local Lhasa guide was Khamsang who has excellent knowledge in all things Tibet, from nomad's life style, city life, religion, food and many more. This was children's first time on high altitude trip and as had expected one of them got quite sick. Khamsang, a mother herself, was very quick to take us to the pharmacy and received proper care in time. Although winter isn't peak travelling season of Lhasa because of it's temperature, we enjoyed this extraordinary trip because of both Leon and Khamsang. Highly recommend!

My wife and I had a fantastic tour of Tibet with Pasang of China Highlights. He was very detailed and thorough with his explanations as we visited the various significant sites like Potala palace and Jokhang Temple. His passion to share about his home region of Tibet is clear through his enthusiasm. He also showed us a slice of local life as we visited many local restaurants and tea houses. A highlight of our trip was our journey to Yamdrok lake, the Himalayas and Everest base camp. He was very knowledgeable of the best view points. Pasang and our driver even accommodated our request to shoot some astrophotography at night near Everest even though it was not originally planned. He was also very caring and checks in on us regularly for symptoms of altitude sickness. Overall the tour was very enjoyable and we would highly recommend Pasang to any friends or family who wish to travel to Tibet!

Khamsang gave us a personal & informative tour of her city. She was patient and helpful to those of us who had difficulty with the altitude.

We were a group of 6 seniors, in reasonable shape but feeling the altitude. Our guide, Khamsang maintained a slow and steady pace that got us comfortably to the top of Potala Palace. I was impressed with her knowledge of Tibetan culture and history. Her command of English made her easy to follow and she patiently answered our questions.We also went to Sera Monastery and Norbulinka which means jeweled garden. We also toured Deprung Monastery. The trip was interesting andInformative, made better by being in the capable hands of Khansang.

Khamsang was our most wonderful guide in Lhasa. We had two full days with her, plus airport transfers. She is so knowledgeable about the history and culture in Tibet, and also very sensitive to our need to take it slow with all the steps. She gave us advise on where to find a bank, ATM machines, and good places to eat. She is very flexible, easy going, and patient with all our questions. Besides showing the 6 of us the wonders of Tibet, she had the added responsibility of getting me to a hospital for follow up care on an injury I had earlier in the trip. She handled all very professionally. If you have a choice of guides in Tibet, ask for Khamsang.

Our trip to Lhasa was amazing! We visited multiple monasteries as well as Potala palace. Lhasa itself was also a wonderful city, full of life. Our guide Joy was incredible. She had impressive knowledge of Tibetan and Buddhist history. She was also fun to spend time with and a great companion. As an interpreter her English was flawless. Great food! Highly highly recommend this tour!

From Lhasa to Everest Base Camp and back to Lhasa again, we were expertly accompanied by our guide, Tashi. We were blessed to have seen Everest on a clear day. Tashi was helpful and went the extra mile, he accompanied us to buy medicine for a friend who had fever in Lhasa. Altitude sickness is no joke, come prepared and do relax on the first day to minimize its adverse effects.

Our local guide, Jigme, was very knowledgeable and accommodating. He made sure to adjust the itinerary to allow us time to acclimate to the high altitude. Tibet is a beautiful place, and we especially enjoyed the Potala Palace and Yamdrok Lake. The views were spectacular.! The local architecture is very fascinating. We also really enjoyed the Tibetan cuisine.

We were looked after by Kunchok for our 6 day adventure in Tibet . He is a world class guide.. outstanding English and an encyclopaedic knowledge of Buddhism and the key sites. Flexible , thoroughly trustworthy and reliable. In addition our driver was exceptionally friendly and competent

This review is for Chonzom. She was our guide in Lhasa, Tibet. We spent several days with her touring and could be happier to have her for our guide! She speaks excellent English, is very knowledgeable, accommodating, and easy to be with. Highly recommend her services!

Chonzom was our guide for Tibet for a week. She was very informative and attentive, she understood our needs. I would recommend her to friends in the future.

I had an amazing time in Tibet. It’s an interesting place with breathtaking sights. My guide Lha Dup is a local and experienced at his job, he knows many things about Tibetan culture. He and the driver were very friendly and helpful. They were always worried about my safety and health. I highly recommend everyone to visit Tibet. I am glad to have chosen China Highlights for the trip. They are amazing and take care of everything so I don’t need to be worried about anything in my holidays.

I didn’t know what to expect in Lhasa, but we had a guide - Dorjee with China Highlights - who took us to everything there is to see. He was the best guide! Potala Palace is an amazingly beautiful site, with so much history and culture.

It was a 6-day tour from Lhasa to Mt. Everest. My guide was Choezom, who took care of all the itinerary with kindness. Our tour group was really lucky to see the sunset at Mt. Everest, which was extremely exciting.

Khamsang was our guide for 2 days in Lhasa Tibet and she was our favorite guide of the entire trip! She went above and beyond to make our time in Tibet so special and memorable. She greeted us with lovely traditional scarves. She gave us a wonderful tour of beautiful temples, monasteries and palaces. She knew exactly when to arrive to see rare and unique events at each location. She is passionate about Tibetan culture and we were mesmerized by her stories. Our driver was always friendly and on time. I would recommend Khamsang to anyone interested in discovering Lhasa and Tibet!

The views were amazing and we took many photos. Our guide, Mr. Kelsang has been very attentive and helpful during the Tibet trip. He is very skillful in taking group photos of us. Give a great thump up for his excellent service :)

Khamsong was the most knowledgeable and caring guide. She not only shared the history of Tibet and Buddhism; she also shared Tibetan life today as we asked many questions. She was extremely caring about the health of our group as one member suffered from altitude sickness. She arranged oxygen for her and had canned oxygen available in the van. Her English is very clear. She knew the safe restaurants and if too busy picked another to keep the day on track. I would highly recommend her to anyone traveling to Tibet.

We were met by our wonderful guide Tenchuong at the airport and he wrapped us in white shawls welcoming us to Tibet. We found the people of Tibet to be gentle, pious and welcoming everywhere we went. Tenchuong had a great knowledge of both the historical and religious aspects of all sites we visited. Tenchuong and our driver were wonderful and looked after us along the way, helping us to navigate local dining, lodging and customs.

We arrived in Lhasa after a 20 hour scenic train ride and was warmly welcomed by our guide Gelek. We are extremely appreciative of Gelek who took care of us throughout our journey in Tibet, making sure that we were comfortable and not experiencing the adverse effects of altitude sickness. Gelek was knowledgeable and accommodating, and it was an amazing experience seeing Tibet through his lens.

Gelek is a local guide with excellent tibetan buddhism knowledge and wide local social network. Coupled with attention to details and dedication to his service and work, he is probably the best english speaking tibetan tour guide one can get!

We had a great time in Lhasa and had a wonderful guide Mary who showed us many highlights of Tibet culture and life. Our favourite part was spending the day at the lake!

Our stay in Tibet was fantastic thanks to the kindness of Tashi, our guide, who accompanied us and showed us the wonders of his land. I recommend Tashi to everyone who wants to have an unforgettable experience in Tibet.

Mr. Dorjee is very knowledgeable and we can feel his passion about his job.Our questions were always answered and explained elaborately and make us understand the Tibet history more. He is also very friendly and helpful, and took great photos of us and knows all of the great photo spots.
