Chinese New Year
Enjoy the Chinese New Year: The Spring Festival holidays are the busiest days for travel and tourism. The "golden week" of vacation for the Spring Festival are at the end of January 1/3 of the years. Maybe you'll enjoy a snowy Chinese New Year then. Festivities include reunions, exchanging gifts, fireworks, and feasts. Taste the local food at our recommended restaurants and watch the cultural festivities.
A variety of traditional celebratory activities are held in Zhouzhuang Town, the Humble Administrator's Garden, and the Lingering Garden. This is the best time to visit these scenic spots while experiencing authentic Chinese culture.
Watch the Fireworks: On the Chinese New Year Eve, close to midnight, thousands of fireworks explode all around let off by the population. You can watch these from any high point in the city. A good place is the bridge over the canal at Gangjiang Road. Check the Chinese New Year dates.

Clothing: Bring warm clothing such as a thick coat, gloves, and a hat or a scarf to stay warm. Since it rains a little and the weather is relatively dry, bring some soothing moisturizer. You'll need waterproof shoes if you walk in the snow or slush.
