Weather: The weather warms up during March. There is an average high temperature of 16 °C (61 °F) and an average low temperature of 9 °C (46 °F). Some days are still cool, and occasionally it gets cold. Only about 20 mm of rain falls in the entire month, but it's foggy.
Clothing: Long trousers with a coat or a sweater are generally enough during the day, but bring a thick coat if you go out at night.
Things to Do in March
March is a good month for traveling to the local flower fairs. Chengdu has big flower fairs in the beginning of spring. In March, there are fairs for peaches, tulips, and cherries (at Qingbaijiang).
International Peach Blossom Festival: The dates vary from year to year, but it usually lasts a month, and it happens in the middle of March when the peach trees are in full bloom. Chengdu is one of the biggest peach growing regions.
Shixiang Lake Tulip Festival: One of the biggest tulip festivals in Asia is held at Shixiang Lake. It is about 93 kilometers from Chengdu.

It contains the artifacts and beautiful bronze castings of a once forgotten and recently discovered ancient civilization of the same name. The civilization is distinctive and unusual in many ways.
March is the beginning of the high travel season.
The city experiences the first peak traveling period starting in March, and large crowds begin to fill tourist attractions.
