Weather: Summer starts from June. It begins to feel hot, with average low and high temperature respectively at 24 °C (75 °F) and 27 °C (80 °F). In the south it feels hotter with temperature hitting 30 °C (86 °F).
Clothing: Wear summer clothes such as shorts, T-shirts and skirts, and sun protection. Bring an umbrella because it rains sometimes, especially in the south. If you plan to visit mountainous areas you will need to bring a coat.
Things to Do
Yamay Water Park is in the city of Taichung southeast of Taipei. The park is designed for children and young people and makes for family fun. Theaters there include the Children's Theater, and the Teen Stunt Show is for martial arts acts and stunts.

Computex Taipei: The Taipei International Information Technology Show (June 3–7, 2014) is a world leading electronics and computer technology trade show. It is the second largest such trade show in the world, and represents the state of the art in the field. Taiwanese electronics products are sometimes recognized as the best in the world, and this trade show attracts large crowds of businessmen, engineers, and interested consumers. Certain days of the fair are geared for the tens of thousands international visitors, and overseas visitors get free admission.
Travel: June is part of the high travel season. In June tourism surges during Computex Taipei. Storms during the summer typhoon season can impact travel also. Tickets for flights to Taiwan and between Taiwan and Chinese mainland may be difficult to get especially around the dates of the electronics fair. Mainland Chinese are the third largest national contingent.
