High-speed trains between Hong Kong and Xiamen have two classes of seats: first class and second class. Business class or superior class on these trains is not available these trains.
1. Second class has 5 chairs (3+2) in a row. It is the most common class on a high-speed train and ticket fare is the cheapest. Like the seat on an airplane, the seatback is adjustable. Each seat is equipped with a foldable tray table and a power socket.
2. First class has four chairs in a row (2+2). It is more spacious, quieter, and more comfortable than second class. The seatback can also be adjusted to a comfortable position. A power socket and foldable table are available to each passenger. On a high-speed train, there is usually only one carriage for first class, on the first or last carriage.
