Hong Kong West Kowloon Station is the only terminus for high-speed trains between Hong Kong and Chinese mainland. It serves more than 100 daily trains from Hong Kong to/from cities in Chinese mainland including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Guilin, Changsha, Chongqing, etc.
Hong Kong West Kowloon Station is currently the world's largest underground train station, covering an area of 430,000 square meters, and featuring 9 long-distance platforms and 6 short-distance platforms.
Transportation to/from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station
Hong Kong West Kowloon Station is located in the West Kowloon Area, adjacent to the prosperous Tsim Sha Tsui and Yau Ma Tei areas. The footbridge above the ground and passages underground from the station extends to Hong Kong Metro Kowloon Station and Austin Station, which allows you go to the airport and major scenic spots easily and conveniently. A 3 to 8-minute walk would take you from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station to both metro stations.
The Airport Express to Hong Kong International Airport and Tung Chung Line to Hong Kong Island and Disney World pass through MTR Kowloon Station. The West Rail Line to Hung Hom Station passes through MTR Austin Station
Guilin West Railway Station
Guilin West Railway Station is one of the three main train stations in the city of Guilin. It is located in Lingchuan County, which is far from downtown area. It is not a convenient location, given that only two bus routes connect this station with other regions of the city. Taxies are available at the parking lot in front of the station entrace.

- To enter Hong Kong, simply get off your train at B4 and then proceed to B2 for exit formalities for China Mainland and entry formalities for Hong Kong.
- To exit Hong Kong, it's recommended to purchase your train tickets before arriving at West Kowloon Station. Once you arrive, head to B3 for exit formalities for Hong Kong and entry formalities for China Mainland, and finally proceed to B4 to board on your train.
Transfer in Guangzhou for More Train Options
There are more train route options if make a transfer at Guangzhou South Railway Station. High-speed trains run frequently on sections of Hong Kong - Guangzhou and Guangzhou - Guilin rail lines, which also leaves you more options to choose the departure/arrival station in Guilin that is close to your hotel. The total travel time for Hong Kong - Guangzhou - Guilin route is around 4 hours.
Hong Kong - Yangshuo - Guangzhou Rail Route
Currently, there are no direct trains connecting Hong Kong and Yangshuo. You will need to make a transfer at either Guangzhou or Shenzhen. Here are the recommended rail route plans for your journey:
Option 1: Hong Kong - Guangzhou - Yangshuo (Recommended)
The frequent high-speed rail service between Hong Kong and Guangzhou provides convenient transportation options for travelers heading to Yangshuo from Hong Kong, and vice versa. A total of 37 pairs of high-speed trains operate from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station to Guangzhou South Station, offering travelers a diverse range of options. The shortest travel duration on this route is a mere 50 minutes.
Afterwards, travelers can continue their journey by taking a high-speed train from Guangzhou South Station to Yangshuo Railway Station, which typically takes around 3 hours to complete.
Option 2: Hong Kong - Shenzhen - Yangshuo
You can also travel from Hong Kong to Yangshuo by high-speed train with a transfer in Shenzhen. However, the availability of train choices is relatively limited. The total travel time for this route is approximately 4 to 5 hours.
