Wuchang Railway Station is at the converging site of the Beijing–Guangzhou Railway and Wuhan–Kowloon Railway lines, and it is 1,225 kilometers (761 miles) from Beijing West Railway Station, 1,069 kilometers (664 miles) from Guangzhou Railway Station, and 1,430 kilometers (889 miles) from Maoming East Railway Station.

Wuchang Railway Station to Wuhan Tianhe International Airport
Wuhan Tianhe International Airport is about 35 kilometers (21 miles) from Wuchang Railway Station, and the airport shuttle buses operate every hour between the airport and Wuchang Hongji Bus Station from 8:15am to 8:15pm daily. It takes about an hour to travel from Wuchang Railway Station to the airport in the following ways:
Walk 5 minutes to Hongji Bus Station from Wuchang Railway Station, and then take an airport shuttle bus directly to the airport at a ticket fare of 32 RMB.
Take bus 10 to Hankou Railway Station from Wuchang Railway Station and then walk to Jinjiadun Long Distance Bus Station, before taking an airport shuttle bus to the airport.
Take a taxi directly from Wuchang Railway Station to the airport at a fare of 130 RMB.
City Transport to Wuchang Railway Station
The city transport of Wuchang includes taxis, buses, and metros, which are very advanced and convenient with fair fares. Taxis and buses can be taken to any place within the city.
By Taxi
Taxi is the most convenient way to travel in Wuchang. The rate is 6 RMB for the first 2 kilometers (1.2 miles), 1.4 RMB for every additional kilometer from the 2nd kilometer to the 7th kilometer, and 2.1 RMB per kilometer from the 7th kilometer. A 2 RMB fuel surcharge will also be charged by the driver.
By Bus
There are three types of buses with different fares in Wuchang. The common buses have a fare of 1 RMB, the two-deck buses have a fare of 1.5 RMB and the air-conditioned buses have a fare of 2 RMB, which usually operate from 6:00am to 9:00pm daily. Metro line 4 runs below Wuchang Railway Station, which is an alternative choice for passengers who want to go to Wuhan Railway Station, and it passes by Ziyang East Road, Fujipo Road, Zhongnan Road, Hongshan Square, Zhongbei Road, Yuejiazui, Huanle Avenue, Erhuan Road, Tuanjie Avenue, and Wuhan Railway Station along its way.

To Hankou Railway Station
Hankou Railway Station is located at 1 Jinjiadunte, Jianghan District, and it can be reached by taking bus 10 directly from Wuchang Railway Station, which takes about 45 minutes. Alternatively, metro line 4 can be taken to Hongshan Square from Wuchang Railway Station, and then metro line 2 to Hankou Railway Station.
To Wuhan Railway Station
Located to the east of Yangchunhu Lake, Hongshan District, Wuhan Railway Station can be reached directly by metro line 4 or bus 540.Another route is to take bus 207 to Qianjin Road from Wuchang Railway Station, and then take bus 438 to Wuhan Railway Station. The fare is 2 RMB for each bus.
Wuchang Railway Station to the Major Scenic Spots
Bus 402 runs from the station to Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge and Yellow Crane Tower.
Bus 564 goes from Wuchang Railway Station to Luojiashan Mountain, and bus 402 can then be taken to Donghu Lake Scenic Area.
Wuchang Railway Station Facilities
Wuchang Railway Station is rectangle-shaped with bell sets decorating its walls, displaying the ancient Chu culture. The station has well-equipped modern service facilities, mainly including one VIP waiting hall, one cushioned-seat waiting hall of 963 square meters (10,000 square feet) in size, two ordinary waiting halls, one special waiting room for expectant mothers, and six automatic escalators. A square of 19,350 square meters (208,000 square feet) in size is situated at the front of the station, having 333 parking spaces for taxis and buses, and 23 operating bus lines.
Wuchang Railway Station also has a TV monitoring and controlling system, luggage automatic weighing system, railway waybill system, automatic broadcasting system, computer management system, automatic checking system, and self-guiding system to facilitate passengers. Restaurants, book stalls, mini-theaters, and tea houses are also available in the railway station, mainly distributed on the second floor.
In the ticket halls of Wuchang Railway Station, the ticket vendors are available to facilitate passengers who have a limited time to catch the trains, and both an online ticket booking service and a telephone booking service are also available, although it is recommended to book in advance.
