Badaling Great Wall Railway Station (Badalingchangcheng Railway Station) is located right under Badaling section of the Great Wall. It is an important train station on Beijing to Zhangjiakou high-speed rail route, also the largest underground railway station in the world.
Badaling Great Wall Railway Station is about 2-3 minute's walk to Badaling Great Wall cable car station and 800 meters to the entrance. This station operates high-speed trains to Beijing downtown and Datong. Bullet trains take around 40 minutes from Badaling Great Wall Railway Station to Zhangjiakou, the co-host city of Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.

Station Plan
Badaling Great Wall Railway Station is mostly underground of the Great Wall. The buildings above the ground are departure and arrival halls. There are 4 manual ticket windows and 7 automatic ticket machines in the departure hall. Escalators take you from the departure hall to the B1 floor underground, where the waiting hall and the platform located.
You need to go through ticket check and security check at the departure hall and arrival hall. E-ticket service have been fully implemented in this train station. So there is no need to collect paper tickets. Just swipe your ID documents, like passports, to enter the station and board the train.
From Badaling Great Wall Railway Station to Badaling Great Wall
The station is easily accessible from both the entrance and cable car station to the Great Wall：
- To the cable car station: walk for 2-3 minutes from the station exit to the cable car that going up to the great wall.
- To the entrace to the Great Wall: the entrace of the Great Wall is a bit farther from the station than the cable car entrance. First, walk to the southwest for about around 5 minutes, then walk southeast for about 10 minutes. You will arrive at the entrance. From this entrance, you need to climb up to the Great Wall.
Transportation from Badaling Great Wall Station to Capital Internationl Airport
From Badaling Great Wall Station to Beijing Capital Airport, first, you need to get to Beijing North Railway Station or Qinghe Railway Station.
- Option 1: take a high-speed train from Badaling Great Wall Railway Station to Beijing North Railway Station (about 40 minutes). Then walk to Xizhimen Subway Station 西直门地铁站 (about a 5-minute walk). Then take subway line 2 to Dongzhimen Station 东直门地铁站 (about 15 minutes). Take the airport express from Dongzhimen Subway Station to Beijing Capital Airport (about 30 minutes). Or you can take a shuttle bus directly from Xizhimen Subway Station to the airport.
- Option 2: take a high-speed train from Badaling Great Wall Railway Station to Qinghe Railway Station (about 20 minutes). Then take Subway Line 13 to Xizhimen Station 西直门地铁站 (about 15 minutes). Then transfer to line 2 to Dongzhimen Station 东直门地铁站 (about 10 minutes). Take the airport express from Dongzhimen Subway Station to Beijing Capital Airport (about 30 minutes)
