Beijing Daxing International Airport (IATA: PKX), located between Daxing District in Beijing and the city of Langfang in Hebei Province, is the newest and largest international airport in Beijing. It is about 46 kilometers (29 miles) south of Tian'anmen Square, which is in the center of Beijing city, and 67 kilometers (42 miles) away from Beijing Capital International Airport in the northeast.

1. By Metro - Daxing Airport Express
There is a new airport express line connecting Beijing Daxing International Airport and Beijing city center. It began operation on September 26th, 2019. It starts at the north terminal of Beijing Daxing International Airport and ends at Caoqiao Station, from where you can transfer to Line 10 to get to downtown Beijing.
Go to floor B1 after your arrival to purchase your metro ticket and go down to floor B2 to take the metro. The journey from Beijing Daxing International Airport to Caoqiao Station takes 20 minutes and costs 35 yuan ($5).
The operating time is from 06:00 to 22:30 although adjustments to the schedule are made according to the last night flight arrival time.
At Caoqiao Station, you can take Line 10 and transfer to other lines to reach different destinations. It will take about 50 minutes to get from Caoqiao Station to Tian'anmen Square.
2. By High-Speed Train
The Beijing–Xiong'an intercity railway (Beijing section) opened on September 26th, 2019, linking Beijing Daxing International Airport and Beijing West Railway Station.
Similar to taking the metro, go to floor B1 to purchase your train ticket and go down to floor B2 to take the train. It takes about 30 minutes to travel from Beijing Daxing International Airport to Beijing West Railway Station.
There are 12 pairs of high-speed trains running between Beijing Daxing International Airport and Beijing West Railway Station. The fare is from 75 to 90 yuan ($10.50–12.60) for business seats, 40 to 48 yuan ($5.60–6.70) for first-class seats, and 25 to 30 yuan ($3.50–4.20) for second-class seats.
When arriving at Beijing West Railway Station, you can take the metro or a taxi to your destination. It will take about 40 minutes to get from Beijing West Railway Station to Tian'anmen Square by metro and 30 minutes by taxi.
3. By Taxi
The starting price of Beijing taxis is 13 yuan ($2). Traveling by taxi from Beijing Daxing International Airport to Beijing's downtown area, such as Tian'anmen Square, normally takes about an hour (if there are no traffic controls or jams). It costs about 200 yuan in the daytime and there will be a 30% surcharge at night.
4. By Airport Shuttle Bus
Beijing Daxing International Airport operates six shuttle bus lines, including one nighttime line. They are:
- Line 1: Beijing Daxing International Airport to Beijing Railway Station
- Line 2: Beijing Daxing International Airport to Beijing West Railway Station
- Line 3: Beijing Daxing International Airport to Beijing South Railway Station
- Line 4: Beijing Daxing International Airport to Tongzhou
- Line 5: Beijing Daxing International Airport to Fangshan
- Line 6 (nighttime line): Beijing Daxing International Airport to Xuanwumen
The daytime service operates from 07:30 to 23:00 and the nighttime line operates from 23:30 until the last flight arrival time. All of the buses depart every half an hour. The fare is 40 yuan ($5.60).
You can take line 1, 2, or 3 and transfer to the metro or take a taxi to the city center.
