Tianjin International Cruise Home Port (Tianjin Cruise Port for short) began operations in June, 2010. It is the first home port in Northern China, and the largest home port in East Asia. The port is located at the south of Dongjiang Port of Tian jin Port, adjoining China's largest free trade zone – Dongjiang Free Trade Zone.
The port will cover an area of 1.2 million square meters with 6 berths when finished. Currently, only the first phrase is finished with 0.7 million square meters. The port can house two large cruise ships at the same time. It can accommodate 0.5 million passengers each year. The water in the port is about 11.5 meters deep, which is capable of holding the world's largest cruise ship.

Not the Tianjin Xingang Port Passenger Terminal
Make sure you know that the Tianjin International Cruise Home Port is not the Tinjin Xingang Port Passenger Terminal (Location: 35 Xingang Road No 2, Tanggu, Tianjin 300456, China). These two ports are about 25 kilometers (16 miles) away from each other.
Tianjin Xingang Port Passenger Terminal now mainly serves as a domestic cruise terminal, but it may receive international cruise ships during high travel season, so make sure you know which port will be used by your cruise ship.

Tianjin Cruise Port to Beijing Transfer
There are no direct transportations between the port and Tianjin city and Beijing. The best way to go from the port to these places is to book a transfer service. The cruise port is very close to Beijing, leass than one hour's journey by inter-city bullet train. Most travelers skip Tianjin, where the cruise port is located, and go directly to Beijing, as there is very little to see in Tianjin. A: Your guide will be waiting for you at the exit of the Port Cruise Terminal or airport arrival hall holding a name board. We will also tell you the name and contact information of your guide a week in advance. (There are two exits in Tianjin Cruise Port. Exit 2 is in the middle of the hall for tour groups. Exit 3 is on the left of Exit 2 and is for individual travelers.)
