Best Things to Do in Shanghai in March

March is a good time to stay indoors in blustery Shanghai, but it is also a good time to see flowers begin to bloom in the hills and parks.

Tour and shop at the Shanghai World Financial Center

Until the Shanghai Tower opens in 2014, Shanghai World Financial Center is the highest building in Shanghai. For sightseeing, there is an observation deck on the 100th floor at 474 meters (1,555 feet). You can also see the nearby 88-story Jin Mao Tower. These three skyscrapers sit in a cluster next to the Pudong River in the Lujiazui financial district.

There is a mall at ground level for shopping and dining. For wealthy tourists, there is a Hyatt Regency luxury hotel. You'll find bars and restaurants in the Hyatt Regency between floors 79 to 93.

See the peach blossoms at Zhujiajiao Water Town

Six hundred acres of peach blossoms open for inspection and sniffing in Dianfeng Village in Zhujiajiao. Along with these peach trees, see the famed ancient dynasty bridges. You can also see the old buildings, shop, and eat in the many restaurants and coffee shops. Some of the buildings date to the Qing Dynasty era (1644-1912) or the early 1900s.
