Weather: November is very cold, and the lows go below zero. It is snowy by the middle of the month. Beautiful fall foliage and low rainfall make it a good month to tour. The mountains and landscapes are dressed especially beautifully.
The average nightly low temperature is 1 °C (34 °F), and the average daily high temperature is 8 °C (46 °F). The three main 1,800m+ peaks are about one kilometer higher than the lower regions of the park and are generally about 6 °C (11 °F) colder.

The peaks' famed 'seas of clouds' are caused when warm moist air from the sea, blocked by the high peaks, convects up the slopes and cools.
Clothing: Have gloves, a warm coat, and dress in layers to adapt to changing conditions. Take along rain gear too.

Enjoy a scenic, comfortable cable car ride up to the 1,400m+ (5,000 feet) hotels, and avoid bad weather and strain.Hiking: You'll see the pinkish grey peaks decorated with red, yellow, verdant green, and perhaps white caps during a hike up in November.
