It isn't a regular Chinese museum with a lot of artifacts behind glass. There are a few displays, but the emphasis is on tasting and drinking various kinds of tea and participation in the tea drinking. You'll learn about the regional differences in tea drinking customs. There is store where you can buy a variety of tea and souvenirs.
Enjoy the Chinese New Year: The Spring Festival holidays are busy days for travel and tourism. The Chinese New Year usually is in the early or middle part of February about 2/3 of the years. People watch and play with fireworks, exchange gifts, have reunions, and feast. Watch Fireworks at West Lake: You'll be amazed by the choreographed Chinese New Year fireworks and laser light display at West Lake. The extensive display is sponsored by the government and is created by professionals. It lasts almost an hour. Various kinds of fireworks are synchronized to explode over a wide area of the lake, and the whole lake shimmers in a scintillating rainbow of colors and patterns. You can enjoy a good meal beforehand, sightsee, and take a walk before the fireworks start.

February is a low travel month unless the Spring Festival is the month. The Chinese New Year is in February about 2/3 of the years. There is a Spring Festival travel rush that begins about two weeks before the Chinese New Year and ends about three weeks after the Chinese New Year. Most Chinese have a "golden week" of vacation around the turn of their year.
During the holiday season, expect high prices and difficulty in obtaining hotel rooms, flight tickets and train tickets.
