Guilin is warm/cool and fairly dry in October. It's the middle of autumn. The average low and high temperatures are respectively 17 °C (63 °F) and 26 °C (78 °F). October in Guilin is slightly drier but cloudier than September. There is about 70 mm (3") or 10 days of rain.
Guilin cools down during October. The first week of October in Guilin is typically quite warm with cool nights, unless it rains. It can reach about 30 °C (86 °F), with temperatures around 20°C (68°F) at night. By the end of the month the average day is 23 °C (73 °F) to 14 °C (58 °F).

Tips for Visiting Guilin in October
October is one of the best months to visit Guilin because of the comfortable weather: sunny, mostly dry days with cool evenings and clear sky. The noisy Chinese tour groups are gone after the first week (consider avoiding National Day holiday), and you will see few people on tourist attractions, as Guilin's low travel season begins.
Avoid visiting during National Day holiday from October 1 to 7 and for several days before and after, or get the help of people in the know like us to help you to avoid the hassles. Otherwise, frustrations like waiting 2 hours at Longji's gate are probable.
